This poem is about focus.

If you’ve never looked through a kaleidoscope, this post might get a little lost, but I’m hedging my bet on the fact that you know what it is, and what it might look like in your eyes.

This poem was written for a very good friend of mine, whom I miss very much. It’s about the chaos of life outside of the center.

As much as the scope of the world teases with pretty distractions, there’s always a center…and that’s where my heart lives.

When I see you – I am you.
You are all I see.
It is the way of my heart.

‘Tis difficult at times.

To see a future
through the prism
of the past.

A star
in the distance

What might lie beyond
your kaleidoscope
of fears?
