To Break My Heart

My soul,
embraces hope.
To become something,
though we barely talk.

Letting you go,
breaks my heart.
Shattered hopes,
dreams torment.

Fragmented heart,
in splintered conviction.
Hope slaughters fortitude,
memories carve existence.

Fear wraps my bones,
squeezing and twisting.
Each and every one,
breaking me.

Despair clenches the throat,
choked in tears of torture.
The panic of darkness,
convulsing for light.

Pain of hatred,
consumes me.
Building a broken heart,
with a tortured soul.
