Today

Sunlight brings tomorrow’s day,
and the moonlight brings the night.

Yesterday’s tomorrow brings today’s sorrow
and the moonlight brings the night.

Days number two ‘fore yesterday’s tomorrow
brings wishes of just one more minute.
And the moonlight brings the night.

Time after time matters not in the day,
of the fate of time if stopped.

Today is last week’s day after tomorrow,
when the sunlight brought today’s sorrow.
And the moonlight brings the night.
