Winter Luminesce

Glowing scarlet brilliance,
setting against a waning sun.
Crimson glitter cast upon,
a new-fallen snow.

Cardinal couple,
feasting upon the seed.
His grandeur statuesque,
through a frosted window.

Her still, soft breath – lavishes,
where the collar rests.
Left hands embrace souls,
promised in keeping.

Dusk caresses,
the cardinal glow.
Reflected now,
the flickering flame.

Cast upon the window,
as mirrored lives.
Right hands explore,
in tumultuous expectation.
